MultiHop Modbus Data Radios

The Sure Cross® MultiHop Modbus Data Radios extend the range of Modbus networks. Each radio may be set to act as either a master radio, a repeater radio, or a slave radio. Models are available with built-in discrete and analog I/O, which can be accessed using the Modbus protocol. For a more detailed explanation about how MultiHop radios work, see What is MultiHop.

MultiHop Radio with internal wiring

Model Frequency Transmit Power Datasheet
DX80DR9M-H 900 MHz The 900 MHz MultiHop Radios may be configured, using a DIP switch, to transmit at 1 watt or at 0.25 watts.
The 2.4 GHz MultiHop Data Radios only transmit at 0.063 watts, or 18 dBm.
Serial interface: User selectable between RS-485 or RS-232

Configuration is made easy with the MultiHop Radio Configuration Tool, a software program similar to the User Configuration Tool used with the DX80 wireless products. Download the latest released version for either 32-bit or 64-bit computers.

For instructions how to determine if you are running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows, go to this Microsoft support page.

The MultiHop Modbus Data Radios with I/O are available with a mix of discrete, analog, and other I/O. Models ending in C use external terminal blocks instead of internal terminal blocks. Refer to the 3D Models page to download AutoCAD, STEP, IGES, and PDF models.
