Air Flow/Ventilation Monitoring

Regulating temperature in a livestock facility ensures optimal conditions while minimizing the loss of life. The malfunction of certain devices have the potential to directly influence the temperature within the facility. Those changes could then affect the wellbeing of the livestock. Monitoring the air in a livestock facility ensures minimum loss of life during an equipment failure.

Description

One method for livestock facilities to monitor the temperature is by observing and regulating the flow of air from ventilation systems. Banner Engineering’s FlexPower Node can assist in observation of air flow. A flow meter attached to the node monitors the flow of air from the ventilation system. If the flow stops for longer than a user-defined period, an alarm is sent by email which informs the staff to take action before loss of livestock occurs.
